Cemal annesi Zeynep ile birlikte Almanya’nın Berlin şehrinde bahçeli şirin bir evde yaşamaktadır. Cemal bitkilerle arası çok iyi olan bir çocuktur. Evinin önündeki alanda kendine kurduğu küçük bahçede bitkiler yetiştirmektedir. Cemal okulunda da parlak bir öğrencidir. Yalnız son zamanlarda giderek daha asosyal bir çocuk haline gelmesi öğretmeni Tanja’yı endiselendirir. Yine sıradan gibi görünen bir okul günü, Cemal’in sınıfının camına koyduğu bitkilerine iki arkadaşının kötü davranmasına dayanamaz ve arbede çıkar. Okul müdürü bu olaydan sonra Cemalʼin annesini okula çağırmaya karar verir. Zeynep okula geldiğinde Cemalʼin yakın zaman önce babasını bir trafik kazasında kaybettikten sonra biraz değiştiğini ancak düzeleceğini anlatır. Olaylar peşin sıra gelir ve Cemal bahçede çiçekleri ile uğraşırken düşüp kafasını yere çarpar. Annesi işten eve döndükten sonra Cemal’i hastaneye götürür. Hastanedeki doktor neden hemen gelmediniz diyerek aile içi şiddetten şüphelenerek gençlik dairesini arar ve o andan sonra Cemalʼin hayatı bir anda altüst olur. Aynı akşam evinden zorla alıp yetimhaneye getirilir. Buradan alınarak bir koruyucu ailenin yanına verilen Cemal artık yaşamak için hayatını geri alma mücadelesine başlar. Cemal’in tek isteği olan annesi ile yaşamak isteğine kavuşabilecek midir?
Cemal lives with his mother Zeynep in a cute house with a garden in Berlin, Germany. Cemal is a child who is very good with plants. He grows plants in the small garden he built for himself in the area in front of his house. Cemal is also a bright student at his school. However, the fact that he has become an increasingly asocial child lately worries his teacher, Tanja. Another seemingly ordinary school day, Cemal’s plants he put on the window of his classroom can not stand the abuse of his two friends and a brawl breaks out. After this incident, the school principal decides to call Cemal’s mother to school. When Zeynep comes to school, she tells that Cemal has changed a little after losing his father in a traffic accident recently, but he will get better. Events come in advance and while Cemal is dealing with flowers in the garden, he falls and hits his head on the ground. After her mother returns home from work, she takes Cemal to the hospital. The doctor at the hospital calls the youth office, suspecting domestic violence, asking why she didn’t come right away, and from that moment on, Cemal’s life turns upside down. The same evening, he is forcibly taken from his home and brought to the orphanage. Cemal, who was taken from here and given to a foster family, now begins the struggle to get his life back to live. Will Cemal be able to achieve the only wish of himself, to live with his mother?
