A biographical drama about the fate of researcher József Béres in his struggle with the Communist regime between the 1960s and 70s. The initial process of the Béres drop and the continuing trials of the scientist are observed in the first half of the film, with a high tension narrative.

The film presents the dramatic fate and struggles of Dr. József Béres and the intriguing story of the birth of the Béres Drop in a dynamic editing. While tracing the researcher’s power struggle in emotional, exciting scenes, it also offers an objective look at Hungary in the 1960s and 1970s, the (non-functioning) socialism, and the lies and intrigues that permeated society as a whole at the time.
