Sinopsis/Synopsis/синопсис

The plot of the film is based on the conflict between the poet and the Soviet ideological machine. The film highlights significant events that affected Jambil’s life – the collection of akin, the publication of the poet’s poems in newspapers and magazines, the arrival of Iosif Gilman from Moscow, Jabayev’s meetings with Oraz Jandosov and other prominent figures of the time.

“Shock and Shame” is a children’s feature film directed by Kanımbek – Kano Kasımbekov in the “Kazakhfilm” film studio in 1972.
The film tells about the friendship of little boy Sher and aunt Shock. Sher dreams that she has a sister-in-law and refuses to let her older brother sell the horse. A foal of the horse is born, they named him Shok. Sher and Shock were so attached to each other that they could not live without each other. But one day, Sher fell off his horse and ended up in the hospital, and while he was lying there, he sold his older brother, Shock, and bought a motorcycle with a sidecar. Sher couldn’t bear the loss of her friend and goes in search of Shock…
